The quickest way to produce 2D drawings is to produce a 3D model, then create as many views as you want in 2D by placing the 3D view in the orientation you want. Once the 3D model is created, full multi-view 2D drawings can be created in seconds. Ian has a history of creating machinery and items that are innovative, simple as possible, easy to manufacture and reliable. You can see some of his designs in the Gallery. 3D printing in ABS and other plastics We now have the ability to print in 3D in ABS, PLA and are experimenting with Nylon and HDPE. We have modified the printer (as supplied) to improve reliability and print strength. Laser Cutting, CNC Punching & CNC Machining Flat Pattern and Profile Production If you want to take advantage of the precision, speed and cost reductions that Laser Cutting and Folding, CNC Punching, and CNC Machining can provide, contact Ian for advice on the most applicable process, and to produce the files that the manufacturers require. Ian regularly uses up to 7 Laser Cutters, all having specialist areas, and a number of CNC Punch and machine shops, as well as numerous General Machining and Welding services. Often with steel plate up to 25mm thick, the cost of laser cutting is little more than the material cost alone. Even 1 off pieces can be cost effective. All types of material can be cut and/or folded, even plastics. Even sections like RHS and pipe up to 250mm or more can be cut to produce parts suitable for your application. The applications are almost boundless.

Heat Pump Drying Systems Heat Pump Drying is the "GREEN" alternative when it comes to energy efficiency and low carbon emissions. There are no emissions from the drying system itself, only cold water. The only carbon emissions are from the power station producing the electricity, and with energy usage very low compared to other drying alternatives, making Heat Pump Systems very "GREEN". Heat Pump Dryers use the same principal that makes Heat Pump Hot Water systems eligible for Government rebates for energy efficiency. All heat required for the drying is supplied by a refrigeration compressor, and is retained within the system. Heat transfer can be up to 6 times the actual power draw of the compressor. The air is recycled so that exhaust air that may still be quite dry (compared to outside air), is returned for further drying, before it passes through (or over) the product again. The system dries completely independent of ambient conditions. This makes Heat Pump Drying extremely predictable, and highly efficient especially in humid climates, where obtaining low moisture content in your product may not be possible by any other method. Also, because the system is closed, outside contamination is eliminated. Heat Pump Drying can also be performed at low temperatures, which makes it especially suitable for fragile or heat sensitive products.
